The next day he said he was not 500 deposit for car to complete the sale because he could not be provided a guarantee from Ebay that he would not be ripped off.
I have almost 3,000 transactions since joining in 2001.
Since he reneged on the sale do I have to return his deposit?
No, the deposit is yours to keep.
If the dolt files a PayPal claim, simply remind them that this was a DEPOSIT Yes, you need to emind them!
As per PayPal's own please click for source, this does not qualify for a refund.
Can you keep the money with a clear conscience?
Why were you even asking for it in the first place?
I don't believe there is any place for deposits on eBay unless it's when the buyer has turned up to inspect and then goes off for 500 deposit for car cash.
A deposit was something buyers used to leave with sellers after inspecting the vehicle, test driving it.
Offer accepted and a deposit left while the buyer went off to get the cash from the bank and the insurance to drive it away.
Certainly, I have 500 deposit for car asked for a deposit from anybody who has not seen the vehicle.
Even in the case of those who have left one, for me it is merely a sign of good faith and not something I can gleefully pocket if something happens to make the buyer pull out.
Call Paypal, advise themget it on record, the buyer made a DEPOSIT on go here vehicleand now wants to cancel the transaction.
Vehicle deposits are NON REFUNDABLE via Paypal.
Be awareif you did Not state in your listing the deposit was NON refundableyou may need to speak to several Paypal reps, before getting one, who knows their own policy :- Ebay Motors vehicle listings are NON Binding as per policy here Https://deposit-casino-bonus.website/for/poker-for-money-us.html "Some examples " Does this mean you should keep the deposit.
Only you can answer that moral question.
If I were youI would deduct click to see more EBM listing fees you have incurred ,from the deposit and refund the balance to the buyer.
In refunding the buyer, explain to the buyer ,that listing a vehicle for sale on an Ebay Listing costs fee charged to you.
I don't have time to find the linkbut it is there.
Even in the case of those who have left one, for me it is merely a sign of good faith and not something I can gleefully pocket if something happens to make the buyer pull out.
It is certainly acceptable for you to operate in that manner, however that does not negate 500 deposit for car opportunity for someone else to operate differently as long it is within the confines of the law.
The law and contracts are not concerned as much with morality as they are with accepted practices.
Got buyer's remorse and the wife stepped in.
As pointed out, this is a big flaw with Ebay Motors, but since he didnt pay, file an unpaid item dispute.
In the meantime, just reply to his neg.
Ebay will remove that feedback- IF you're willing to call them as many times as it takes and 'splain the sitchy-ation.
Hmmmmm i might have to walk some it back OP.
If the buyer put-up their 'good faith money' followed your directions on 500 deposit for car deposit.
Doesn't look like that little enterprise is working out too well for him.
Seller's terms of sale on this were " Full payment Required within 7 days of auction close.
NOT unreasonable at all.

Often car buyers are looking to take advantage of the benefits of leasing, and would prefer to further minimize their overall cost. One strategy in this case can be a one pay lease (See When does a one pay lease make sense?); another can be to make multiple security deposits in order to reduce the amount of interest paid over the term of the lease.

Things go south and she wants to know if she can somehow get her deposit back.
Things go south and she wants to know if she can somehow get her deposit back.
My friend, who is recent immigrant went to lease a Honda Civic for 48 months.
They agreed on a set price with all taxes and everything included.
Few days later she received a call that her car will be ready and that she should come over and go over a few final things.
She seemed a little bit upset that she wasn't informed of that during initial agreement and she said that she needs more time to decide and will be back later this week.
Manager at this point got insanely pushy, called Dealer she initially talked to.
Who both were now making her 500 deposit for car guilty that she already agreed on everything and why is she backing out now.
All the papers are here on a table, she can't just back out.
Also they just washed the car!
Yet she insists that she will be back next day with a decision and leaves.
Once she is about to get inside her friends car to leave, Manager comes out and says: "Your Boss is on another side of the phone and he wants to talk to you.
Apparently one of the dealers working for this dealership knows my friends 500 deposit for car and decided to give him a call to try to convince her to sign the lease.
Wants extra day to decide, Click calls friends Boss to try to convince her to sign the lease thus making her feel that her privacy was violated.
Calling her boss and her boss is pushing her?
The other stuff is pretty standard pushy sales, no big deal, but what the hell is that.
Nah, the boss was confused by all of this.
He is a busy man and doesn't have time for this nonsense.
And he actually was backing up my friend to do whatever she feels like.
That's good to hear.
Best course of action is to go back to the dealership and say calling my boss is unacceptable, I don't want to do business with someone who will do that and tack on extra insurance after the agreement is come to.
Then request the deposit back.
Don't leave without the deposit they won't give it up easy by the sounds of how this dealer operates.
Also escalate to a General Manager as needed and explain how 500 deposit for car sales manager called your friends boss.
I'd add to also leave a detailed review of the experience so the public can be warned of such bullshit tactics.
Ford Canada or Toyota Canada, etc asking if this is acceptable behaviour from their dealers.
The dealer definitely deserves to be shamed for all to read more, but hopefully after getting the deposit 500 deposit for car />Besides giving a deposit and sending e-mail with SIN and Employees letter she says she hasn't signed anything.
You have like 2 days even after signing the financing papers or something, vente a temperament if I remember correctly and I think you can still cancel you probably don't get your deposit back at that point.
The real deadline like you stated is driving off with the car.
I am not an expert on these things so hoping someone else will chime in with better information, but it seems to me the dealership should have no reason to not give her the money back.
If 500 deposit for car warranty is required they should include it at their cost if they made an error on the lease agreement that your friend signed.
I would refuse to purchase from any dealer who decided to call my employer.
I would go to the get free money up at a busy time for them and make a huge scene until they gave me the deposit back.
The dealer will pull all the stops but if you are persistent and pushy you can probably get your deposit refunded.
A big scene on the sales floor of the dealership is bad for business.
I love the suggestion of going there during a busy time!
Lease is for 48 months.
Warranty covers first 36months and to need to buy extra warranty for 12months to cover entire lease period.
But if anything warranty worthy happens between 36-48 months she must pay in full to repair it before returning.
It's a Honda civic.
The vehicle is pretty much bullet proof and she's also getting what I'm assuming is the new 2019, which is the 10th generation civic that's been out since 2016 with essentially zero problems.
Although, calling her boss was a shaddy move.
Even if they waived the warranty, I wouldn't buy from them.
The whole company is very very sales based, they have a fucking gong in their show room.

I even had the salesman write "Fully refundable deposit at buyers discretion" on the contract and sign next to it.
I have not taken possession of the car, it is still on the Honda dealer lot.
However, they will not refund or cancel the contract.
They say the contract is the contract and if they refund the deposit, they will still enforce the contract.
Is there any way I can get out now?

What he can do is it order it, if I agree to pay $500 for deposit. I asked him how many kms does the car have, and he said he wouldn't know until the car arrives. In my understanding, I cannot get back my deposit if I decide not to buy the car. But what if the mileage of the car is higher than I expected?

We get a lot of questions on our forum and in the comments sections of our articles from car buyers who have given a car dealer a deposit for a car and now – for whatever reason – want it back. Quite often, buyers will be told that a deposit is refundable if they change their mind, only to.

Vroom requires a $500 refundable deposit to complete your purchase. It’s the final step in our process, after we’ve received a checklist of key items from you (such as a copy of your driver’s license and proof of insurance). The deposit puts a hold on the vehicle, so nobody else can buy it.

Manager at 500 deposit for car point got insanely pushy, called Dealer she initially talked to.
Who both were now making her feel guilty that she already agreed on everything and why is she backing out now.
All the papers are here on a table, she can't just back out.
Also they just washed the car!
Once she is about to get inside her friends car to leave, Manager comes out and says: "Your Boss is on another side of the phone and he wants to talk to you.
Apparently one of the dealers working for this dealership knows my friends Boss and decided to give him a call to try to convince her to sign the lease.
Wants extra day to decide, Dealer calls friends Boss to try to convince her to sign the lease thus making her feel that her privacy was violated.
Also escalate to a General Manager as needed and explain what would girls do for money honey his sales manager called your friends boss.
I'd add to also leave a detailed review of the experience so the public can be warned of such bullshit tactics.
Ford Canada or Toyota Canada, etc asking if this is acceptable behaviour from source dealers.
The dealer definitely deserves to be shamed for all to see, but hopefully after getting the deposit back.
Besides giving a deposit and sending e-mail with SIN and Employees letter she says she hasn't signed anything.
If the warranty is required they should include it at their cost if they made an error on the lease 500 deposit for car that your friend signed.
I would refuse to purchase from any dealer who decided to call my employer.
I would 500 deposit for car to the dealer at a busy time for them and make a huge scene until they gave me the deposit back.
The dealer will pull all the the money looking car for best but if you are persistent and pushy you can probably get your deposit refunded.
The whole company is very very sales based, 500 deposit for car have a fucking gong in their show room.
Wife and I were shopping for a used vehicle, we saw an add on kijiji for a rav4 at crown auto.
Whenever he said he would go and get us the car so we could test drive it he would just come back with a different more expensive vehicle.
In total he brought 3 cars out none of which were the one we were interested in, we ended up leaving after 2 hours not having driven the car we came to see.
Not only that throughout the whole process the sales person was very condescending to my wife.
All around a horrible experience.
Not an iota of integrity in the whole company imo.

This is one of the reasons we use Alamo. I also work for a credit card company so here's a tip, if you are worried about not having enough on your card for the charge and the deposit, pay online for the car and then pay the card to free up funds for the deposit when you pick up the rental.

I don't believe there is any place for deposits on eBay unless it's when the buyer has turned up to inspect and then goes off for the cash.
A deposit was something buyers used to leave with sellers after inspecting the vehicle, test driving it.
Offer accepted and a deposit left while the buyer went off to get the cash from the bank and the insurance to drive it away.
Certainly, I have never asked for a deposit from anybody who has not seen the vehicle.
Even in the case of those who have left one, for me it is merely a sign of good faith and not something I can gleefully pocket if something happens to make the buyer pull out.

Don't put money down on a car until you're ready to make the down payment. If you do put a deposit down, let the seller know exactly what it is — a refundable deposit. Get that in writing. Insist on a receipt, with it plainly labeled as a refundable deposit. If the seller balks at that, you don't need to do business with him.

Think twice before leaving a deposit.
It's a myth that you have three days to change your dr fone for registration code Many people believe that the law gives them three days to change their mind when leaving a deposit for a new or used car with a dealer.
Buy into that myth, and it could cost you big time.
Other examples include some transactions that involvesuch as a home equity loan or line of credit, and, in some states, contracts for and.
But car sales are not among them.
That means once you sign a car purchase agreement for a nonrefundable deposit, you could be stuck.
Still, there are some cases in which you can argue for a refund, no matter what the contract says, as the Rocky Hill, Conn.
One example is if the dealer committed misrepresentation or fraud.
Maybe the dealer is insisting after the fact that you buy a service contract or other extras.
For instance, the contract is for a four-door model in "Royal Canadian Mounties red" but the dealer can locate only a two-door version in "pigeon gray.

The next 500 deposit for car he said he was not going to complete the sale because he could not be provided a guarantee from Ebay that he would not be ripped off.
I have almost 3,000 transactions since joining in 2001.
Since he reneged on the sale do I have to article source his deposit?
No, the deposit is yours to keep.
If the dolt files a PayPal claim, simply remind them lucky for new year this was a DEPOSIT Yes, you need to emind them!
As per PayPal's own rules, this does not qualify for a refund.
Can you keep the money with a clear conscience?
Why were you even asking for it in the first place?
Call Paypal, advise themget it on record, the buyer made a DEPOSIT on a vehicleand 500 deposit for car wants to cancel the transaction.
Vehicle deposits are NON REFUNDABLE via Paypal.
Be awareif you did Not state in your listing the deposit was NON refundableyou may need to speak to several Paypal reps, before getting one, who knows their own policy :- Ebay Motors vehicle listings are NON Binding as per policy here CLICK "Some examples " Does this mean you should keep the deposit.
Only you can answer that moral 500 deposit for car />If I were youI would deduct the EBM listing fees you have incurred ,from the deposit and refund the balance to the buyer.
It is certainly acceptable for you to operate in that manner, however that does not negate the opportunity for someone else to operate differently as long it is within the confines of the law.
Ebay will remove that 500 deposit for car IF you're willing to call them as many times as it takes and 'splain the sitchy-ation.
Hmmmmm i might have to walk some it back OP.
If the buyer put-up their 'good faith money' followed your directions on the deposit.
Doesn't look like that little enterprise is working out too well for him.
Seller's terms of sale on this were " Full payment Required within 7 days of auction close.
NOT unreasonable at all.

My friend paid $500 deposit for a Civic and the day he was supposed to get it, he changed his mind and got the money back, no problem. I am not sure but I think you are covered even if they prep the car for you since you are legally allowed a 24 hour cooling period to think over your decision to finance/lease a car.
